  1. Rated 5 out of 5

I’m having a great deal of fun using my Smart Beetle Braille display. The braille cells are quite crisp and sharp. They really are quiet buttons. It appears to be a well made unit. – Stanley, via Twitter

  3. Rated 5 out of 5

The braille cells are quite crisp. The unit is a joy to use. I’ve used the unit with four different screen readers. I’ve even paired it with my iPhone. Great job Hims.

  4. Rated 4 out of 5

Works like a charm with Voiceover. My only complaints would be hardware-wise: the keyboard’s pretty firm which makes it a bit tricky to type accurately on the bus etc. On the upside, it’s pretty quiet, though. I’d have preferred the space bar to be on the front of the device, i.e. the side of the device that faces you, as then the machine wouldn’t constantly move when you try and use it on non-flat surfaces. The Braille itself is lovely though, and it seems to have an impressive power supply, too.
